Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Possess, understand, and apply knowledge and experience in power system relay protection, automation, and/or research, and related SEL products to perform complex tasks.
Provide training and support to customers in the creation, design, configuration, testing, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems.
Design, perform functional testing, and commissioning of relay protection circuits for electrical power systems, ensuring the reliability and safety of the system during emergency conditions.
Configure protective relays from different manufacturers, adapting to different platforms and communication protocols to meet the requirements of specific projects.
Implement and configure communication protocols such as IEC 61850 (GOOSE and MMS) and DNP 3.0 for substation automation and real-time data exchange.
Manage the implementation of power supply SCADA systems and load shedding SCADA systems.
Manage the assignment, execution and delivery of work within agreed scope, schedule and budget, ensuring a high level of quality and safety.
Participate in the identification, preparation and presentation of successful proposals for SEL equipment, services and systems.
Carry out other assignments from management.

3+ years of relevant experience in commissioning SEL PowerMAX® systems (patented system with emergency load shedding/generation technologies for power outages) and SCADA systems. 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical power system design and relay programming. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for at least 25% of the time depending on the area of activity. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. Proven knowledge in the field of power system protection and control; Understanding of technical project management and the ability to work proactively with end customers.
